Jessica Mendez

Jessica is a resident of Cicero, Illinois, an immigrant and DACA beneficiary since 2014. Jesica worked for several years in the real estate industry, where she understood the need to strengthen the education of the community in legal and financial matters so that they would not be at a disadvantage when facing such a process. Motivated by her own experience as a client of the Binational Institute a few years ago, and her own personal immigration process, Jessica applied herself to understanding and educating herself in the legal field, and after working for a private law firm, Jessica joined the Binational Institute for Human Development as a full time staff member, where she exercises her talents and employs her passion to assist the immigrant community in their integral development within the American society at large.

Currently Jessica also directs the family reunification program called Golden Angel, whose objective is to provide Mexican migrants who have not been able to see their immediate family members for more than 10 years due to their immigration status, the opportunity to reunite with them in the United States through group tourist visas.
